Wi-Fi no "ar" ! Alaska becomes latest airline with Wi-Fi

Alaska Airlines is the latest carrier to launch in-flight Wi-Fi, offering passengers on a specially equipped Boeing 737 a service that uses satellites instead of cellular towers to connect the plane to the Internet.

  Bluetooth e Redes Sociais O uso da conexão Bluetooth chega às redes sociais através de um sistema chamado Cityware, ferramenta disponibilizada pelo site de relacionamento Facebook. O sistema funciona da seguinte forma: o usuário se cadastra no site e registra uma ID que será reconhecida por dispositivos bluetooth em qualquer lugar que ela esteja:

"Users register with the Facebook tool, called Cityware, to track encounters in the real world via Bluetooth."

A proposta é aumentar a proximidade entre os usuários do Facebook no "mundo real":

"The ambition for the Facebook tool is to have mobile phones alert each other when in the proximity of another Facebook user who shares common interests or common friends."
